Hall The building, once divided into a two-room school, now has one large hall approximately 30 ft. by 65 ft. or 2,100 square feet with large windows covering three sides. On one side off the entry to the building there is a coatroom, and off the other side a kitchen with two electric ranges and two full size refrigerators, and a three bay stainless steel sink. It should be noted that this kitchen is not designed for preparation of food for large numbers – it is best for storage and warm up of food prepared elsewhere. Catering services are available on Mt. Desert Island.  Rectangular tables and folding chairs are available to seat up to 100 people. Round tables and nicer chairs are recommended for wedding receptions and can be rented locally. Two unisex restrooms are located on the lower level and a handicap accessible restroom is available on the main level.

Rental The Schoolhouse is available from May through October for dances, community suppers, wedding receptions, and various group meetings subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Due to fire code regulations all events are limited to 150 persons or less. No smoking is allowed in or around the building. Alcoholic beverages may be served, but not sold, at events. Kitchen
	Newly remodeled service kitchen for prep and warm-up. Included are granite counter tops, a ceramic cooktop range, two refrigerators, microwave oven, 3-bay stainless sink, and large warming oven. Code requirements prohibit cooking full meals.

Basement
	The basement is also a pleasant place to congregate with two additional unisex modern restrooms.

Handicap access The main hall is handicap accessible via an outside ramp and an ADA compliant restroom is available on the same level.

Parking There is limited parking available (approximately 15 cars) adjacent to the Schoolhouse and additional parking may be available nearby at the Church of Our Father (207 288-4849) depending on events taking place there.
